Members of the StarkWhiteC offered the following feedback on my BK Project
Positive Feedback:
The color is a good choice according to Melinda and Craig. It is engaging and the logo is effective as well. The site layout is inviting and simple and age appropriate, Craig said he wants to share my BK site with the 2nd and 3rd graders that his wife works with. The interactive features of the site are good. Craig and Melinda gave positive feedback for the embedded Google Forms, “I like how these worksheets are live and can be filled out right on the page inside of having to link off to Google,” Craig, and Melinda commented, “I like how the answers to the workpages can be entered right on the site!” The Powtoon, I created, is well liked as well. The Voki is well liked to engage kids.
Constructive feedback:
The iBook is not accessible on all platforms but I did offer a PDF option. Tabs are recommended for forward and backward navigation. Craig suggested I make a copyright for the Powtoon so I used a Creative Commons one. The more tab is not inviting according to Craig so I changed it to “Practice”. There are suggestions to use Vokis in more places and to modify the voice so that it emphasizes words to make a more straight forward message. It was also suggested that I add more videos and a practice section with games, which I’ve already completed.
My Take-away:
This feedback has been very helpful. These are all things I've either thought of or they are new ideas but they make a lot of sense. I have already edited my site according to much of the feedback. I think that this has really helped me to polish my site and bring it to the next level. It's always good to get the opinion of someone who should know what it should/could look like.
